Self-activation
Instructions for obtaining the Certum mobile electronic signature.
To sign documents on your computer, download the proCertum SmartSign software package (for the USB solution, only the ProCertum SmartSign module is required).
Go to the software download page → proCertum SmartSign download page
Your login is the primary email address provided in the application form.
Please note!
The Certum Mini / Certum Standard signature can be used on any number of devices, for example by installing the ProCertum SmartSign application.
During activation, make sure to save the PIN code and the PUK code (the most important code) in a secure place known only to you, and keep the email from Certum PCC confirming the certificate issuance.
The PIN code is used to sign files. Entering the wrong PIN code three times blocks the ability to create signatures.
In such a case, the only option is to use the PIN recovery/reset procedure with the PUK code assigned during installation — which is why it is so important.
- After installing and activating the certificate and inserting the “USB Pendrive” into a USB port, you can use the certificate on your computer.
- Documents are signed using the dedicated ProCertum SmartSign software (green application icon).

A PDF file signature can also be verified in the signature panel in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
